Area Strategic Plan

Rolling Hills RC&D maintains a 5 year strategic Area Plan.  This document identifies resource needs and concerns in the region and identifies goals and strategies for the Council to adopt in order to address these issues.  This document guides the Council's activities and projects during the five year period.  In order to develop this document, the Council developed an outreach plan to ensure broad based input from the public throughout the Council region.  The results are reflected in not only the resource needs, but also in specific projects and priorities.  Many of the concepts identified in the plan were captured from the public input process.    This document is designed to be a dynamic tool which may be updated throughout as needs change-- however the basic goals remain constant throughout. 

This Area Plan is reviewed and approved not only by the Georgia NRCS State Conservationist, but also by the National USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.  This document serves as a working contract between the RC&D Council and NRCS.  The completion and maintenance of this document ensures the Rolling Hills RC&D a place in the National Association of RC&D Councils' Circle of Diamonds.  This designation identifies RC&D Councils throughout the US with a high standard of administration and accountability.

Annual Plan of Work

Annually, the Rolling Hills RC&D Council develops a Plan of Work to guide their activities throughout each fiscal year.  This Plan of Work is developed using the Area Plan for guidance.  A Council committee reviews the Area Plan and make recommendations for each year's activities.   This document may be amended throughout the year as new projects are introduced that fit within that year's goals and objectives.
